May Brave Crate: Chaos Coordinator

Everything Inside of the May Brave Crate!!

May box

One of the realities of deployment that we sometimes overlook is the fact that those of us on the homeside are often taking on the job of two people. We’re maintaining all of our regular rhythms and responsibilities while also adding in the tasks and to-do’s of our deployed spouse. We have created a life and routines around having two adults at home- and now (as we manage the many emotions around counting down deployment) we are recreating that same life and routine but with one less set of hands.

While it can feel overwhelming at times, this season of separation can teach us valuable lessons about efficiency and prioritization. Especailly right now, as many of us also manage new routines and challenges related to state-wide shutdowns, we are learning to stay flexibile and let go of things that are less than urgent. If you haven’t heard this lately, let me tell you: YOU are doing an amazing job- truly, you are a Chaos Coordinator.

So, as we begin our May deployment countdown with a special focus on keeping things simple and strategic, I hope this months Brave Crate reminds you that all that you are accomplishing today is more than enough.
